What does cat insurance cover?
Cat insurance can cover a number of factors, depending on which policy you go for. At Argos Pet Insurance, we know that your cat can develop a health condition or get ill at any time so that’s why we provide a number of policies that could cover your vet bills for various treatments, along with other benefits too. Our cat insurance policies could cover:
- Veterinary fees including dental cover, complementary treatment, physiotherapy, behavioural illnesses and overseas veterinary treatment
- A range of ways to pay the vet – you can pay and then make a claim afterwards, or if the vet is happy for us to do so, we can pay them directly so you’re not out of pocket
- Advertisement and reward if your cat or kitten goes missing
- Theft or straying
- Emergency boarding cattery fees if you are hospitalised for more than 48 hours
- Complementary veterinary helpline, live chat and video
- Other travel cover, such as holiday cancellation, quarantine costs, loss of healthcare certificate, or emergency expenses abroad if your cat is sick or goes missing whilst abroad.
If your cat was to sadly pass away from an accident or injury, we can also cover some of the costs, including cremation if you choose.
Please note that we won’t cover any pre-existing conditions and that terms, conditions, excesses, exclusions and limitations apply. You can find out more about the terms of our cover in our policy documents.
